Rehabilitation Advisory Committee
The Rehabilitation Advisory Committee is under the purview of the Labour and Welfare Bureau. According to the information as set out in the website of Labour and Welfare Bureau in respect of this Committee, its terms of reference are as follows:
- to advise on the development and phased implementation of rehabilitation services in Hong Kong;
- to advise on the principles of subvention applicable to such services;
- to co-ordinate rehabilitation services in Government departments and voluntary organizations and to ensure that available resources are put to the best use;
- to advise on the respective roles of Government, voluntary organizations and other bodies providing rehabilitation services;
- to make recommendations on the training of rehabilitation workers; and
- to assist the Government in promoting and monitoring the implementation of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in Hong Kong.
