Highlights of the Year 2022-23

LUMP SUM GRANT SUBVENTION SYSTEM (LSGSS)

Provided lump sum subventions to non-governmental organisations (NGOs) for operating welfare services. At the end of March 2023, there were 171 NGOs receiving recurrent subventions under the LSGSS, operating a total of 3 198 service units. Subject to compliance with the requirements of the Funding and Service Agreements and the relevant statutory requirements (if applicable), NGOs may flexibly deploy resources to achieve the service output and outcomes to provide appropriate welfare services.

REVIEW ON ENHANCEMENT OF THE LUMP SUM GRANT SUBVENTION SYSTEM

The recommendations from the Review Report on Enhancement of the LSGSS has been progressively implemented since 2022-23, and will continue to provide progress updates to the Lump Sum Grant Steering Committee.
