Introduction

SWD subsidised Cross-boundary and Inter-country Social Service aims to help Hong Kong residents and new arrivals handle and solve welfare problems arising from geographical separation between Hong Kong and the Mainland/ other countries.

Service Target

Hong Kong residents and new arrivals who are in need of social work assistance in handling welfare problems arising from geographical separation between Hong Kong and the Mainland / other countries.

Service Content

  • Provide service information and consultation advice through telephone hotline;
  • Refer needy cases to relevant social welfare services;
  • Contact new arrivals at Lo Wu Checkpoint to provide service information and referrals;
  • Provide casework, groups and counselling in Hong Kong

Fees and Charges

Free of charge (remark: There is fee charge for conducting social assessment outside Hong Kong in relation to preparation of social investigation report.)
