Child Protection Support Service (ChildPRO)

Introduction

The SWD has subsidised non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to set up six service teams under the Child Protection Support Service (named ChildPRO) in March 2025 to enhance the professional support for children affected by abuse and at risk of harm/maltreatment and their families, through a coordinated partnership approach with the referring units. 

Service Target

Families having child discipline problems, or those who are unable to safely care for their children or the children being vulnerable to harm/maltreatment and their families, etc.

Opening Hours

  • Each service team operates at least 4 Day sessions (i.e. 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.) and 2 Afternoon-Night sessions (i.e. 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.) per week (from Mondays to Saturdays)
  • Closed on Sundays and public holidays
  • Regarding the different opening time for each team, please refer to their service leaflets.

Referred by the social workers Note

Note The service team will receive referrals from FCPSUs firstly and accept referrals from Integrated Family Service Centres/Integrated Service Centres operated by SWD and NGOs in the second phase.
