Care and Attention Home for Severely Disabled Persons
Service Description
It provides home living for persons with a severe mental/physical disability who are unlikely to benefit from a regular day training placement. They are in need of nursing and intensive personal care but not yet require infirmary care.
Eligibility for the Service
To be eligible for the service, an applicant should be:
- severely mentally handicapped or severely physically handicapped persons;
- aged 15 or above;
- unfit for day training placement;
- in need of intensive personal care, such as assistance in dressing, toileting and meals; and
- not being bed-ridden or requiring substantial medical/nursing care.
Application Procedures
Referrals can be made by social workers to the Central Referral System for Rehabilitation Services of the SWD. The application is free of charge.
Fees and Charges
- $1,660 per month for 50% disabled adults;
- $1,871 per month for 100% disabled adults / Disability Allowance recipients.
