Employment Support Services (EmSS)

SWD has commissioned non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to operate the EmSS with a view to assisting able-bodied CSSA applicants / recipients to overcome work barriers and enhance their employability so that they can find paid employment* as soon as possible through the provision of integrated employment support services on a family basis.

*For those unemployed CSSA applicants / recipients aged 15 to 59 who are working no less than 120 hours per month with earnings no less than the prescribed level set by the SWD, or those able-bodied CSSA adults aged 60 to 64 who are working no less than 60 hours per month, as well as those single parents and child carers on CSSA with their youngest child aged 12 to 14 who are working no less than 32 hours per month, they need not to participate in the SFS Scheme.

Disregarded Earnings (DE)

The provision of DE under the CSSA Scheme aims to encourage CSSA recipients to find and maintain employment.
