Charitable / Trust Funds

Introduction

Temporary financial assistance to help individuals or families to tide over their immediate financial hardship when other financial assistance is not available. Four major charitable / trust funds include Li Po Chun Charitable Trust Fund, Tang Shiu Kin and Ho Tim Charitable Fund, Brewin Trust Fund and Kwan Fong Trust Fund for the Needy.

Application Procedures

Charitable / trust funds have specified criteria and categories of assistance. Applicants are subject to the assessment on the family and financial condition by the concerned social service units. Upon approval, applicants are required to provide relevant receipts with a view to ensuring that the assistance are used for the specified purpose.

Eligibility Criteria

Persons in need may contact the Integrated Family Service Centres / Integrated Service Centres of the Social Welfare Department or non government organisations, or the Medical Social Service Units.
