Ms Carol YIP, JP, the Director of Social Welfare, officiated the Launching Ceremony of CAREnJOY 2019 of HK Electric on 16 March 2019. To echo our "Dementia Friendly Community", HK Electric has registered as a dementia-friendly organisation and will help to promote public awareness on dementia.
Ms Carol YIP, JP, the Director of Social Welfare, delivered a speech at the ceremony and appreciated the support of HK Electric for the "Dementia Friendly Community Campaign". Having registered as "Dementia Friend" Ms Carol YIP, JP, the Director of Social Welfare and Mr. Francis CHENG, MH, the Operations Director of HK Electric wearing the dementia friend wristbands and practicing the "Eight Brain Exercises".

8 March 2019 - ''Dementia Friends'' Information Session for HK Electric

The Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Dr Law Chi-kwong, GBS, JP; the Director of Social Welfare, Ms Carol Yip, JP; and the Chairman of the Elderly Commission, Dr Lam Ching-choi, BBS, JP, officiated at the ceremony of the highlight event of the Dementia Friendly Community Campaign and the Support for Carers Project.
The Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Dr Law Chi-kwong, GBS, JP; the Director of Social Welfare, Ms Carol Yip, JP; and the Chairman of the Elderly Commission, Dr Lam Ching-choi, BBS, JP, together with all guests and participants, pledged to build a dementia friendly community at the highlight event of the Dementia Friendly Community Campaign and the Support for Carers Project. The Secretary for Labour and Welfare, Dr Law Chi-kwong, GBS, JP delivered the speech at the highlight event. Speaking as registered Dementia Friends, the Director of Social Welfare, Ms Carol Yip, JP, and the Chairman of the Elderly Commission, Dr Lam Ching-choi , GBS, JP, encouraged all Dementia Friends to wear the orange wristband and stand ready to offer assistance to people with dementia in need.
